- Group A

Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ are Gazetted and Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ are Non-Gazetted.
Group ‘A’ Posts: RRB Recruitment of posts in this Group will be done by UPSC. They will be appointed via Engineering Service Examination, Civil Service Examination and Combined-Medical-Service Examination. This one is a Gazetted officer category.
Group ‘B’ Posts: Well, these posts will not have direct recruitment. Group B has been linked to Section Officers Grade. It means, all these posts in Group B will have people promoted from Group ‘C’ employees.
Group ‘C’ Posts: In this group, there are several Technical as well as Non-Technical posts available for you. You must have noticed clerical profile, station-master profile, ticket-collector profile recruitment notice. All such profiles fall under Grade C.
Group ‘D’ Posts: Like Group C, this group does have various disciplines. And, few of them are:
